At DekBoard we take pride in our talented team, and we’re excited to introduce Ollie, our new Sales Manager. With a wealth of experience in the industry, Ollie is a great fit for the role and quickly has become a key member of our team.

What made you decide to work for Dekboard?

After 5 years in the industry with a competitor, I decided to join DekBoard as it was clear that the business demonstrated ambitious goals with a solid plan to achieve them. With many routes to progress within the Epwin Group, deciding to work for DekBoard was a no-brainer for me!

What do you enjoy about working at Dekboard?

I particularly enjoy the environment I work in, everyone around me and who I speak to within the business is likeminded, positive and driven. Every day my role is different, and the variety enables me to not become complacent.

What does your role involve, or what could a typical day look like for you?

My job role is split into 2 parts. Firstly, I support the national park sales team through my experience in the industry, this involves training, annual leave cover and guidance on how to do the sales role effectively. The second part of my role is to establish a designated department to seek new business opportunities in the commercial and hospitality sectors – a new revenue stream for DekBoard.

How do you achieve success in your role at Dekboard?

Commitment to any task that I face through persistence, respect and honesty. If I apply each of these traits to my role it enables me to succeed.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I enjoy running and travelling. I have completed an Ultramarathon and have travelled to almost 70 countries so far.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I ever received was to lead by example. A true leader will show people how to complete a task, rather than simply instruct them on how to complete it.
