What does your role involve, or what could a typical day at DekBoard look like for you?
In my role as Sales Manager, I spend most of my time on the road, meeting with park owners, caravan owners and key decision-makers across the Yorkshire and Humberside region. My typical day involves sitting down with park and caravan owners to discuss any challenges they’re facing and finding practical solutions using DekBoard products. It’s all about understanding their needs and coming up with designs that meet those specific requirements. My role is as much about building relationships as it is about sales. I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of the job, where every customer presents a new opportunity to tailor a solution.
How do you achieve success in your role at DekBoard?
Being professional is key. I always strive to listen carefully, understand the customer’s perspective, and provide solutions that not only meet but exceed their expectations. I believe that treating people the way you’d want to be treated builds trust, and trust is essential for success in this role.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I live near the Yorkshire coast, so in my spare time, I love taking long walks in the beautiful countryside. It’s a great way to clear my mind and relax after a busy week. The peacefulness of the Yorkshire landscape is the perfect complement to my active work life, allowing me to recharge and return to work with fresh energy.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve received is to treat everyone you meet how you’d wish to be treated. It’s a simple but powerful rule that guides everything I do, both professionally and personally. This approach has helped me build strong, respectful relationships throughout my career, and it continues to influence my success at DekBoard.
